  • Provide services to its members in support of their development and work with students. These services provide information and other resources that facilitate networking and collaboration among student affairs professionals.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for student affairs professionals of the state of Georgia. Professional development is a continuous process for the association throughout the year and includes the following: print media, extended length/topic based workshops, multi-topic conferences, distance learning and full utilization of the "information highway."
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with other professional organizations on the state and national level. These relationships help keep graduate students, faculty, and professionals on the cutting edge of student development theory and student affairs practice.
  • Work to educate the public at large about new developments and student needs within post-secondary education and promote the advancement and dissemination of knowledge.

GCPA will constantly strive for excellence in all that it does using collaboration and inclusiveness as guiding principles.
